Quando decisi di prendere il mio secondo sheltie, ho iniziato le ricerche: volevo un cucciolo bello, sano e con carattere, con cui potevo fare diverse attività come agility ed expo.
Mi sono innamorata di Nala (Rivermist Moonlight Shadow -la mamma di Berry) e ho aspettato una sua cucciolata. Non avevo preferenze di colore o di sesso, mi è stato detto che avrei avuto la prima scelta della cucciolata quindi avrei deciso una volta che i cuccioli fossero nati e cresciuti per vedere anche il carattere e lo sviluppo.
Quando il maschio prescelto, Prins, arrivò in Italia dalla Norvegia andai a conoscerlo perchè volevo vedere personalmente entrambi i genitori del mio futuro cucciolo.
Una volta nati i cuccioli, dopo 2 anni di attesa, la mia gioia è stata immensa e subito dalle prime foto mi sono innamorata di un cucciolo in particolare, che si è rivelato essere Berry col tempo.
Sfortunatamente, però, ci sono state molte tensioni e bugie durante la crescita dei cuccioli, portare a casa Berry è stato un calvario e arrivò che aveva quasi 4 mesi. Purtroppo le tensioni non sono ancora finite.
Berry è uno sheltie di grande carattere, abbaione, pieno di energia. Molto bravo sul gregge, tanto istinto naturale.
Un buon cane con i suoi conspecifici, maschi o femmine, si pone sempre in un modo molto gentile comunicando molto.
Con gli umani ha un carattere aperto ma che definirei snob, si lascia toccare e avvicinare da tutti senza paura, ma se non ti conosce/non gli piaci non ti fa festa né da bacini.
When I decided to take my second sheltie, I started the researches: I wanted a very nice, healthy and strong character puppy with whom I could do different activities such as agility and show.
I fell in love with Nala (Rivermist Moonlight Shadow - Berry's mother) and I waited for a litter from her. I had no color or sex preferences, the breeder told me that I would have the 1st choice of the litter so I would have decided once the puppies were born and raised to see also the character and development.
When the male chosen as dad, Prins, arrived in Italy from Norway I went to see him to be able to meet him personally and be sure I liked both parents of my future puppy.
Once born puppies, after 2 long years of waiting, my joy was limitless and immediately from the first photos I fell in love with a particolar puppy, which turned out to be Berry.
Unfortunately, however, there were many lies and stress during the growth of the puppies, bringing Berry home was an agony and he arrived that he was almost 4 months old... unfortunately the discussions are not over yet.
Berry is a sheltie of great character, barking boy, full of energy.
Very good on the flock, so much natural instinct.
A good dog with its conspecifics, male or female, always behaves in a very kind way with lot of communication signals.
With humans he has an open character but I would say he is "snob", he lets himself be touched and approached by evreybody without fear, but if he does not know/like you he does not make you joyful greetings neither kisses.
